Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

This chapter is part of Edulom’s Terms and Conditions and applies to all tutoring conducted at student homes, Edulom venues, or online. All times follow Thailand Time, ICT.

  1. Lesson time calculation
Lesson time is counted from the moment the tutor arrives at the agreed location or when the online classroom opens and the tutor begins the session.

  2. Student attendance
Students must complete attendance at every meeting using the attendance sheet provided by the tutor or Edulom’s digital check in.

  3. If the attendance sheet is unavailable
When the paper sheet is not available, attendance will be recorded digitally or the student must sign the sheet at the next session. The tutor will confirm attendance for the current session.

  4. Tutor lateness
If the tutor arrives late, the lesson will still be delivered for the full booked duration. For example, if the tutor is 15 minutes late, the lesson will end 15 minutes later than scheduled, subject to venue availability and safety.

  5. End of lesson
Lessons must stop when the booked duration ends. Any review or homework briefing is included within the lesson time.

  6. Additional classroom rules
Additional learning rules may be set by the student and/or parent to suit the student’s learning style and needs, in consultation with the tutor. Such rules must not conflict with Edulom policies or applicable laws.

All provisions in this chapter apply to private and group tutoring held on site or online. All times follow Thailand Time, ICT.

  1. Rescheduling
Students may reschedule a lesson by notifying the assigned tutor or Edulom admin at least 24 hours before the scheduled start time. A new time will be arranged based on the availability of both the student and the tutor. Use the official contact channels listed on your booking confirmation.

  2. Short notice cancellations
If no notice is provided, or notice is given less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time, the session will be counted as one completed lesson and deducted from the package. Attendance will be recorded as a late cancellation. For group classes, the seat is forfeited for that meeting and a make up is not guaranteed.

  3. Tutor mismatch
If a student feels the tutor is not a good fit, the student or parent may consult Edulom. We will first evaluate the situation and provide feedback to the tutor. If after the next meeting the fit remains unsatisfactory, Edulom will offer a tutor replacement subject to availability, while maintaining continuity of the learning plan.

The provisions below apply to all Edulom tutoring packages, on site and online. All times follow Thailand Time, ICT.

  1. Monthly package validity
Edulom packages are monthly and remain valid for 30 calendar days starting from the first attended session. A 15 day grace period is provided to complete any remaining hours within the same cycle, subject to tutor availability.

  2. Extended postponements
If circumstances require lessons in a cycle to be postponed for more than 45 days, the student must notify Edulom Customer Support in advance via our official channels (e.g., WhatsApp or the contact listed on your booking). Upon approval, Edulom may place the package on temporary hold to keep it active.

  3. Renewal in subsequent months
Renewals in the following month do not incur a re registration fee. Only the monthly package fee is charged according to the current price list.

  4. Automatic renewal and opt out
Packages auto renew monthly for continuity of tutoring. If you do not wish to renew, please inform Edulom before the cycle ends or before your prepaid balance is depleted, so we can stop scheduling and billing accordingly.

  5. Excess teaching and billing
If a tutor delivers hours beyond the prepaid balance due to an unconfirmed renewal, the extra hours will be invoiced at the applicable rate. Unused hours after the grace period expire and are non refundable.

  • Payment channels
Payments must be made via bank transfer to Edulom’s official accounts or in person at an Edulom center. Do not pay tutors directly unless you have written confirmation from Edulom staff authorizing a specific collection. Receipts will be issued by Edulom only.

  • When fees are due
All tuition fees are payable at the start of each billing period/package. As an accommodation, the first payment for a new package may be deferred up to 1 calendar day after the first session with the tutor, whether on site or online. Unpaid balances after this window may result in suspension of scheduling until payment is received.

  1. Cancellation after registration
If a student cancels after submitting the registration form, the registration fee remains payable and is non refundable according to the current price list.

  2. Stopping lessons during an active package
If a student wishes to stop while lessons are in progress, the student or parent must notify Edulom staff and the assigned tutor at least 24 hours before the next scheduled session. This prevents the tutor from traveling or preparing materials unnecessarily.
Notices given less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time will be counted as one completed lesson.

  3. Early termination before the package ends
When lessons are terminated before the package period ends, all completed sessions are re rated at the non package hourly rate. Any price difference will be deducted from the prepaid balance. Unused hours are non refundable, except under the tutor guarantee below.

  4. Tutor guarantee and refunds
Edulom provides a 30 day guarantee for the remaining monthly deposit if lessons stop due to tutor related issues, for example repeated tutor no shows at confirmed times or when an appropriate replacement tutor is unavailable. Approved refunds cover only the unused portion of the current month’s deposit and will be processed through Edulom’s official payment channels.

  1. No private arrangements with tutors
Students and parents may not conduct private lessons directly with an Edulom tutor without Edulom’s prior written approval. All scheduling, scope of work, and communications must go through Edulom’s official channels. Breaches may result in suspension of services and forfeiture of benefits.

  2. Payments through Edulom only
All fees must be paid via Edulom’s official payment methods. Tutors are not permitted to accept direct payments unless expressly authorized in writing by Edulom. Receipts are issued only by Edulom.

  3. No direct contact after termination
If lessons are paused or terminated, students and parents must not contact tutors directly to continue lessons privately without Edulom’s knowledge and consent. Any continuation must be re activated through Edulom to maintain quality control, insurance coverage, and student safety.
